I wanted to fit front PDC to my 2008.5 XS. TLO was able to get me the necessary bits and TFC was going to fit them. The only think that needed checking was whether the wiring loom existed. It didn't. That meant the only option was an aftermarket kit. TFC still did the work for me and I'm happy with the result. It would have been better to have a fully integrated system but LR choose not to offer it. Their loss and the aftermarket suppliers gain.

Roel wrote:I don't understand why somebody can be against improving a car.. nothing wrong with that at all,Im sure youd be happy to slap some 20 inchers on you D3 too(but is that an improvement, to some yes others no. are you getting my drift) however activating something that has been developed at a cost and not compensating the owners of the improvement is theft. intellectual rights perhaps.
Roel wrote:I will be against remaps as that we be unfair against V8 owners. we have a byproduct at work that if put in the tank will make your vee-eight appear sluggish in standard form and a remap is not enabling an extra two cylinders sitting idle in the engine block by bypassing a secret code just merely extracting the full potential from the deisel variant. you are perfectly free to spend some dollars to enhace your vee-eight if you wish to extract its full potential. next you will complain someone has painted theyre D3 purple and upstaged your giant carrot

grzesiul wrote: switch options on/off is great, I do not feel as if it was theft but they are not yours to turn on and off. Im sure if you bought Vista basic via a download and then installed a ultimate serial number and told Mr Gates you would be in court pretty quick. same thing in my opinion. I guess this is one reason why people are getting there backs up as well as seeing their investment devalued amongst other things. good luck to you all.

that is why I am using *nix m8 as MS is the biggest stealer of all but it is arguable to some ppl, besides doing what you please with your car does not mean you can modify it beyond certain global safety and other std I would not do it myself but enabling PDC or headlamp washers or sat nav why nor, putting on nicer wheels??? why not, swapping cloth for leaher fook yeah
but it is my opinion totaly mine and I do respect others doing stuff completly different way as wa are all different and let it be that way (learnt that back home where komunist were trying to uniform everyone / everything - not possible!!!)

As this is a useless statement I think the whole discussion about activating parts that are installed in your D3 being wrong as completely .
some people need to take some laxative.

PaulP, I'm not on about devaluing a product.
I'm on about how and why LR do what they do.
And TBH, you quote me out of context. And those comments were in parenthesis, so I was not being literal.

I'm not sure why you think I was quoting you out of context I thought you were talking about devalueing the purchase of a HSE by buying a lower model and upgrading it....
Anyway, I didn't mean any offence. 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue
