What a fantastic trip. Very jealous like everyone else. Way back on page 1 - what mattress is that and how did it hold up?

It was the mattress on a cheap & cheerful IKEA bed bought many, many years ago to dress a room for selling a house. It's fine for sleeping in the car on the load-deck or on the camp cot when sleeping in the tent.
will catch up on this thread when back in free wifi range as currently using 3/4G in the Italian mountains. Will also do a thread with pics and writeup too then, because I recon quite a few D3/4 owners would enjoy this neck of the woods too. Those that know me and are on FB can find some pics there - I'm not uploading twice without wifi - yup tight as a 's LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

A few numbers from the trip.

Expenses are 4 x toll bridges, 4 x ferries, Chunnel costs (Clubcard vouchers) and 3 nights in hotels.
Highest temp 25c when stuck in traffic for an hour, lowest on North Cape with 1c, 80mph winds and horizontal snow. Highest altitude 2,450' pass west of Arjeplog, lowest -689' tunnel to Magayøra Island for North Cape. Lowest speed 0mph stuck in closed motorway north of Hamburg (in a very efficient German way ), fastest 85mph free wheeling down the slope in above mentioned tunnel.
3 nights in hotel (one in middle, 2 on way back), 5 nights in Oztent and 9 nights in D3 campervan.

Hate to think what percentage of those miles are on my jollies. And she's off to Poland in 7 weeks. Re servicing, was done in April. An expensive month.
Oh, and that's just the first bit of June, done almost 600 miles since getting back and same again before end of month.
