By the way, did any of you guys experience paint flaking off the front grille. mine started to flake about a month ago, sent it back to LR Bedfordview and they sorted it out as a warranty claim.

Things not falling apart: NON-Rant |
|
Had the front ball joints and struts/ suspension ect replacement job done yesterday (after d3 started rattling offroad and drifting all over the road) and with yet another wheel alignment as a bonus. I had the diff replaced a few weeks ago.
The backorder demon ex UK reared its head and ball joints arrived late and is in short supply here in SA: LRSA should just preorder ALL parts that they know they will need and the pain will be less ... or maybe they are doing that and we are falling apart faster than they can keep up the spares ...
(Got the printout with all warranty claims since I got this one. It reads like a checklist of recalls and more scary than fun although it reminded me of the close relationship we have with the dealers )
By the time my warranty expires I will be well on the way to have a rebuilt D3!
If only the reworked, upgraded, with recalls fitted, fully serviced, renewed, rehosed and rewired beauty could remain in one piece for more than the service interval periods, it would have been Quote:Deondef: Looks like its already started to fall apart... great ...

My D3 shows the same symptoms - had the "lower arm bushes" replaced - noise is gone, but must say can still feel the knocks when travelling slowly on dirt road, especialy in off-road height. Also "wanders" when moving over uneven tar - will wait for new shocks to be fitted and then see what else needs to be replaced. Erstwhile - D3 S '07. Dual battery system. Upgraded tow hitch. New shocks fitted - at last
Feels like a completely different vehicle - no wandering, no kicking out rear end, feels very tight around corners. And, yes - no motion sickness when going over bumps
Cannot believe that this difference is only result of new shocks - methinks the whole suspension system was "tightened" Erstwhile - D3 S '07. Dual battery system. Upgraded tow hitch. Mantec skid plate. Frontrunner rr. Tmax double headed built in compressor
