Weirdest thing, after moving to the uk magically I never ever have to replace shocks! (unless I break them off road) Maybe we should send some of the UK spec ones over to you guys interestingly thats also on me Merc that has never had new ones and they swear don't need any and it has 120,000miles 2005 TDV6 HSE, Dual battery (TFC) with 1000w inverter,
Fitted finally, rear ladder and mantec plate - wow too easy

Just heard from LR Midrand that the shocks specified for my year model D3 (2007) is not available in SA. Previous model shocks seem to fit, but for warranty purposes cannot fit shocks that are not specified.
So, here I get on my soap box again. Why on earth would you want to change the specs of shock absorbers (or anything else for that matter) for every new year model
Same thing with the diesel filter - no spare available at the time it was blocked because the vehicle is new and previous model's do not fit
Now have to wait 14 working days - or longer
Pity that vehicle prices are so down - will not get a good price for the vehicle
Then on the other hand (Darren) could get a good trade-in on new Patrol or Land Cruiser
BTW - Dewaldt and others can't make Dros tomorrow - will have to give them them longer notice so they can plan around customers Erstwhile - D3 S '07. Dual battery system. Upgraded tow hitch. Mantec skid plate. Frontrunner rr. Tmax double headed built in compressor

Received reply from LRSA (surprisingly !). Koni shocks not approved - cannot fit under warranty (not surprisingly).
Midrand has put order for standard shocks as "high priority" will be great if they can fit it before our week-end outing Erstwhile - D3 S '07. Dual battery system. Upgraded tow hitch. Mantec skid plate. Frontrunner rr. Tmax double headed built in compressor
