well done to you!
We need more people like you in society. When I was doing my Ship Captains medical course we were warned of all the litigation and compensation culture that exists nowadays and were discouraged from helping, we all shook our heads in disbelief.
Have since heard something about a good samaritan act that protects you (in England and Wales) anyway.

I don't know what the law is in UK but here you are by good Samaritan laws. You are protected from being sued or charged for trying to help.
Someone tried to sue someone for cracking their ribs when doing CPR and was thrown out straight away.
Always best to help as much as you can. In France it is an offense for a motorist not to stop and help.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Great reactions to a very quickly developing accident scene, you most definately have saved that young ladies life in the first instance by shielding her with your vehicle and also with your first aid skills. Jim
