This might seem really random but giving the Disco a thrash round some country roads this morning in sport mode I noticed that third gear theres a nasty juddering, it felt like a warped flywheel.
From what I've read the torque limiter could be the culprit, any ideas as to what this could be or how to fix/remedy it?
It happens across the rev range but only over about 1500 right up till it changes at like 3800/4000 or something like that.

I had an issue with mine where the revs fluctuate when cruising, I think this is the early stages before you get the judder, there are loads of posts about it, it's the torque converter but nine times out of ten a megaflush of the gearbox oil will solve it, try some dr tranny, i'v just put some in mine and the fluctuating revs have gone although I am still going to have a megaflush done in the near future though, lots if people's judder has vanished after using dr tranny, worth a try for £12 and 10 minutes work

Excuse my ignorance but where can I get DR Tranny from, suppose Halfrauds don't sell this sort of stuff?
The disco is going in on Monday anyways for this error code they didn't clear, see if they can do an oilchange of the autobox aswell, don't think it's been done, which could be half the reason...

You need a megaflush ideally as you dint get enough of the old stuff out with a normal change then the old oil contaminates the new oil and your back to square one eventually, you can get dr tranny from advanced factors (site sponsor)

If going to the stealers, an auto oil drain and change will only get about 4 litres out which is a bit under half. You need to go to someone who has a flushing system to remove all the old and put in new. The name Geoff springs to mind
I read some interesting stuff that said adding a bit of new auto oil to old is worse than leaving it alone!!! Others far more knowledgable will be along shortly no doubt.

Well I'm hoping to bring this thread up when I explain what I want doing and how, hoping my request will actually be carried out, chances are slim though I think

Can't remember now but it was something to do with auto gearbox association saying issues due to stirring up crap in the box I think. Local specialist said much the same and had seen lots of failures shortly after part changes (not LR specifically)
I guess if you change 4 litres then do it again shortly after you are more likely to get rid of contaminants but not all.......or just flush
