Well JMC, now this group buy is all but 'done n dusted'
And since you're in the spirit, how about organising a group buy on:
Raised Air Intakes
&
Rear Roof Ladders

We know we can count on you,
and thanks for offering Thumbs Up

Only spirit I'm in is local & distilled Whistle

May consider another Mantec orientated group buy in future. I've tried to negotiate a 'site discount' with them but they require quantity purchases - not individuals. I've only spent about £15000.00 with them on the past group buys. Shocked

...back on topic....

Looks great on the hallway Laughing

unlikely to go on teh car before Friday afternoon at teh earliest....

as one of those wishy washy types is it better to have a bit of neoprene on plastic bits for it bed against???

Don't wan't scratches or funny noises as the plastic around it moves.
end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......

Mine has made no audible difference whatsoever. Mind you, it would be hard to hear any rattling above the squeaking of my EPB. Twisted Evil
I found mine to be a very snug fit against the bumper with a reasonable amount of pressure, I would be surprised if there is any movement between them and you couldn't pack it with anything more than a fag paper!
As far as fitting goes, I held it in place whilst my 10yr old son put the bolts in, it really is very easy. Very Happy

How to fit? What tools needed?

Since I will probably fit the plate in my trip to belgium, I was wondering if this is feasable;
How to fit?
What tools needed?
How much time to calculate?

Twenty minutes, a trolley jack (to hold the plate up while fixing it) and a 13mm socket if I remember correctly. Just a bit fiddly to get some of the bolts in. It is easier if the side front nuts can be held in place by a willing volunteer from the front wheel arch.

I'm sure it is much easier the second time!

Fitted my plate this evening, took about half an hour, used a hydraulic trolley jack to hold the plate in situ as I bolted it in. Also sprayed some waxoil around while I was under.

It looks the business, thanks JMC, an excellent group buy.Thumbs Up

Even Mrs Claud thinks it looks good.Shocked

Mine arrived the day before yesterday, but the very helpful Evil or Very Mad chap from Citylink took it away again. Finally persuaded him to leave it today Razz

It's now looking splendid in it's cardboard box, waiting for the D3 it's going on to arrive.
