Never having seen one in the flesh, all I can say is that I'm impressed - it's MASSIVE The existing "plates" on the car looks like paper in comparison!
The box was not in too good shape, but I think the plate itself got the better of the delivery van and its driver
Won't be fitting it until car and plate meet up in a place where it's not peeing down though, so that should be around Christmas ...

They probably realised that it wasn't for some French tin can and kicked it a few times for good measure. Actually, it looks like it's been dropped on its end and only has a tiny ding on one of the front corners - easily sorted with a file.
At least it arrived - quite a few things we've been sent from the UK have not, which is highly indicative of the French side of the delivery route

Just wondering what the reaction of insurance companies has been to the fitting of the guards ?

I had a brief row with my insurer until I pointed out that it is (essentially) a Land Rover factory fitment on their G4 spec cars (didn't mention the lack of winch.... or winch for that matter) and they were fine. Eventually.
If your insurer tries to load or refuses cover, point out that it makes no difference to performance, handling, braking or appearance unless you lie under the car, that it is solely there to prevent damage when the car us used on Public Rights Of Way and that Land Rover fit a mantec plate to their own G4 vehicles.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
