Hi all,
I was wondering what sort of discount are available on brand new D4s. I have seen that internet brokers like Drive the Deal and Broadspeed are showing about 7-8% (ish) on brand new Discos but was wondering what sort of discount is available by going direct to dealers. Any personal experiences?
I am in the Forces so can qualify for about 12-13% discount through that scheme, but the discounted car cannot be financed through Land Rover on their 6.9% APR subsidised finance rate and this reduces the overall discount depending on what standard finance rate is offered. I would also have a part ex so going to a dealer is preferable. The new increased residual values on Land Rover PCP packages are also making the D4 more affordable to me.
I notice that NFU discounts are also possible, does anyone know what level of NFU membership you need for this?
Any comments appreciated, thanks.

There are reports of good discounts from the Ripon area, but no doubt someone will be along soon to advise more accurately.
Similarly, think NFU membership has to be for a minimum of 12 months or so Currently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE
Previously:
TD5 Defender 110 CSW (230k miles)
300TDi Disco 1 (289k)
4 RR Classics (300-350k each, 2 manual, 2 auto)
110 V8 CSW (220k)
S3 109 hi cap pickup (ex RN)
S2A 88 Safari SW with lpg conversion (bloody lethal)

NFU membership that qualifies for the 5% discount is the 'farmers and growers' and you have to be a member for 3 months before you can get a voucher.

Thanks for the replies. I have been on the NFU website to look at membership, it doesn't give prices though.
Can you combine NFU membership with the discount finance packages offered by Land Rover UK? 8% dealer discount + 5% NFU looks very enticing.
We have an X5 at the moment, we previously had a Disco3 when they were very new (2005-2008) and possibly looking to get back into a Discovery if the price is right.

Land Rover Military Sales in Peterborough is actually part of Marshall's Land Rover. Military discount on a Discovery is currently 13%. They will offer part exchange although not always the best price.
Have you considered finance through forum sponsor Prestige Car Finance or a Bank Loan and buying using Military Discount?

We run a livesock market (Bryncir, North wales) and at our sales over the past week people from Conwy Land Rover came offering 5% discount on commercials for FUW (farmers union wales) members so i presume its the same offer as form the nfu. The terms and conditions on the leaflet said that you needed to be a member for a minimum of 3 months. I only read it quickly but for us Fuw members its only for commercials.
