How to remove paint marks (from car doors etc) from your car
Washed the car this evening, only the inside though, it got dark before I had time to do the interior . That's tomorrow's job.
Anyway, a few months ago, some blithering idiot opened the door of their blue vehicle into the side of our clean silver Disco. Having only just got round to doing something about it now, I tried this trick - and it worked. Simply apply a splash of nail varnish remover (find the Mrs') onto a cotton pad or piece of paper, and rub thoroughly into the paint mark, pushing hard on it. Then, using a dry towel or cloth, rub the paint et voila, it should come off in your hands
Did it on our blue scratch today and it worked like magic. Here's some before and after pictures:

Here's my real problem though...
Unfortunately, the Disco was scraped along a white-painted gate when reversing out onto the street a couple of weeks ago.
I literally splashed on the nail varnish remover for this but no joy. I've sprayed it with plastic trim polish and rubbed it and washed it over and over but it wont budge. Any tips?

Just buy some new arches In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Nitromors - car paint and gatepost paint use different base solvents

Nitromors also melts some plastics.
For spares try Nick Evans on 07702 903536 he breaks D3sIn the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

yer, if you leave it on long enough a bit of nitromors on a rag & rub it until the paint loosens has worked for me on other vehicle plastics - the D3's plastics shouldn't be any different

My wife scrapped the side of our RRS on a green metal gate post. The trouble with the RRS is that it doesn't have the plastic wheel arch protection, so it made a mess of the wing and rear door.
She now drives something smaller - a Mini.Matt

Fortunately for me it was someone else in the family driving! But in their defense, they are deceptive gates...somehow!
And it's a busy road - too busy making sure we dont reverse out on top of somebody
