Pictures Leather Seats at Seat Surgeons - decision needed
I visited Seat Sugeons in Addlestone Surrey today to view their work and decide on the specification of leather for my S spec disco today.
I was impressed with the quality of work, they were very helpful at the workshop discussing options. Have a look at my gallery for pictures of work in progress on another Disco 3 in at the workshop.
I have a dilema, should I go for stitching as seen in the pictures or contrast silver stiching as seen in the Mercedes ML sport (also in Gallery)
I am concerned the contrast stitching will not be in character with the car which tends to be understated and not flash. For what its worth Mrs Claud favours contrast stitching.
What do you guys think?2016 D4 Landmark

No contrast stitching. As you say, its out of character and would not suit the car.

I had black with black stitching and perforated seats. They look great
I thought the grey stitching didn't look quite right.

I personally would say avoid the stitching - it doesn't suit the rugged utilitarianism of the cars interior.2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7

But CY...don't you need stitching to hold the leather together 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
Gives it a touch of individuality I think, and not bling at all IMHO.
Take a look in my gallery for more piccies.Back in the game!

Claud,
It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. We are all individuals and like our own things. i personally don't like Gold or Green D3's, so I didn't buy one.
I think DD's stitching looks nice, as would same coloured stitching to match the leather. Don't ask for an opinion on here as you'll get a variety of replies and get even more confused
At the end of the day, pick what you like and enjoy.

Thanks for all your input, the cost was quoted at £950 + VAT for all 7 seats with £500 +VAT for the arm rests. Stitching and piping options at no cost. The arm rest increase is due to the need to put in new seat back frames with the mountings for the arm rests incorporated. For £500 I am just going with the Leather!
Having seen Discodads pitcture, I am minded to go for silver stitching as it is quite subtle, which incidentally Seat Surgeons says looks fantastic.
I know it is my own decision at the end of the day (even Mrs Claud said so), but it is a good opportunity to find out what others think and have done themselves - thats what makes this forum so gooooood!2016 D4 Landmark
