Mine are set at 37 front 39 rear at the moment seem to corner flat enough but appear soft but that is after bald Wranglers. Rolling Eyes

Australia 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Chawton WhiteDiscovery 3

This thread reminded me of the very first time I ventures onto sand, in my brand-spanking new disco, together with my mate's even newer RRS, near Hawk's Nest (not far from Stockton beach). I'd read about the need to lower pressures, but thought to myself, what the heck, I've got the "4WD of the Year", complete with Terrain Response AND locking rear diff - surely I don't need to stoop to such primitive methods! It turns out this place had very soft sand - No prizes for guessing what happened... Embarassed We eventually got out, and although we were at one stage praying for passers-by that might help, we were afterwards thankful no one was around to laugh at us - I'm sure it would have been especially funny to Cruiser, Patrol or worse, Hyundai drivers! Laughing
That little experience proved invaluable, though. Since then, I've roamed Stockton as well as Fraser recently and never again had to get out and dig!

It is true that experience is a great teacher then, zetecr.

I know the feeling all too well...

The old girl is on her third engine...
* first ran a bearing (design failure in original engine)
* second had a failure of the water outlet on top of the engine (pls check yours)

I picked up a hire D3 this week while mine in at the menders... Thought the steering was a tad light so went to check the pressures..

60PSI all round !!

My manual is in my car at the menders and the hire car does not have one. Can't think why this should be, but judging by the tyre wear, they might have been this way for a while!!

Back to 33 and 36 while I'm in it though !!!
..............Somewhere in-between my old D3 and what's to come next .........

upped the coopers to 40 front 42 rear.
Seems much happier at the higher pressures. Smile
