No Images?- and can't upload images too (update)

Hi Guys,

Anyone else got any image issues, I'm not seeing Avatars or images within posts.
Same on Firefox or Chrome.

Or is it just me?

Robbie, I object, that's not a D3 and I don't think she's a qualified mechanic Whistle

Not a side-wide issue, sounds like it could be your browser - however you say it is the same in Firefox and Chrome Confused

Any other sites affected?

Edit: There is a system in place on the site which only loads post images and avatars once they are about to be displayed as you scroll down (this is for site loading speed).

This relies on javascript (built into all mainstream browsers) and unless you had changed advanced settings in both browsers I can't see how it would affect both - unless you have an issue connecting to the server which delivers the javascript files for the site.

Can you open this link OK? It's just a small image of a question mark, loaded from the same server as above... http://cds.static.fnltd.co.uk/images/icons-ns/question.png

I have the same problem using Firefox BUT I traced the problem to settings within Avast Anti virus which I use.

If I turn off web sheild in settings, active setting, it solves the problem.

I have only noticed the problem on Disco 3 site so far ( Sorry Martin ! )

Well guys I'm pleased to say that after 2 weeks, for some reason, all the images suddenly popped back up half way through a thread.

No settings changed, no software updated/added/removed just ping suddenly they appeared as quickly as the disappeared.

I hadn't had any of these problems on any other sites, just this one. I reckon my Wife must have had a word with the internet gods to stop me buying more things in the for sale section!

All's well that ends well!

I noticed the same issue when took a sneaky peak at the forum at my parents house, my dad's laptop running windows 7 and internet explorer. His laptop has just been repaired because of a failure to start up, I'm sure it was ok before. Confused

Tried all popular browsers and no difference.

The other thing I've just noticed is that I don't have the ability to upload images to a post any more or use the gallery function, perhaps this could be a clue?

Antivirus disabled for the test. Image code showing up fine in the source. Notice the Click Image to Enlarge text isn't hyperlinked either.

All other forums seem fine, I can't replicate it anywhere. I'm a member of many forums running phpBB and the images there have no issues.
I've tried enabling and disabling BBCode etc in my profile to no avail. Anyone else got any other ideas?
