Yep, that black panel needs to come out, and there are two torx screws behind it. You then need to remove the torx screws holding the hinge covers and the whole thing will just lift out... Justin

Right, for D4 the whole gear selector central console piece just lifts out with the black plastic thing attached. You grip either side and pull hard upwards. It's held in by a couple of clips Justin

Yeah me too! lol, I just placed it all back ready for when the thing arrives... Need to go out in an hour so have to use the gear selector.
