Nice job Scwede You weren't tempted to spray the chamfered edge around the grille silver as I did with mine.
It was silver to start with but I didn't like it, as I said though it looks good on the silver car.

I've been tempted to spray my grill black and the chamfered edge around the grill silver much like the new Evoque, RRS, and 2015 D4. Haven't gotten around to it yet.16 D4 Landmark

Don't do it jjvd21, your car was my inspiration! It looks fantastic.

Scwede I noticed the headlight mod I also recommend using the same tape or wrap that you used on the headlight mod on the vertical grill veins. 16 D4 Landmark

Easy way to find out if it looks right for you is to photoshop it. I think it would look ok

I traced a replacement grille and two mirrorcovers on the NL-eBay last week I am now thinking about the way to get it painted. The grill is slate gray with silver centre part, my car Vienna Green...
Now I shot some pics and played around a bit with paint... ..still can't decide.. Anybody has a series of pics of how varieties of grills look like on the D3 , I mostly find the BEANY on the web...
I can not change the colour, so I would like to see how a perforated grille looks like when sprayed in the body colour, like the original D3...
Gray with silver... ...looks like old RR..
Single bar..
Surround sprayed body colour, like most BEANY grilles..
FACTORY ORIGINAL..

I must be part of a minority who are happy with the standard lights and grill...
Maybe it's retro and I'm simply ahead of the curve. In loving memory of FA54WSK.
