Make sure this substance hasn't affected the paintwork in that area RLD, I'm sure someone had electrolyte spill / leak from battery which was being overcharged, and it damaged paint badly, they had a job getting it repainted by LR, if at all, ISTR.
New battery and new winch as they canot repair the one that is on.Home of RLD Hidden winch mounts Spare wheel Locks Trailer Body Fabrication ray@rld-tech.co.uk D3/4 sump plates MY 14 sump plates and the Discovery Sport wheel protectors Discovery 5 wheel locks

I've fitted my Milemarker to the ARB winch bar but have yet to design a mount to hang the dedicated pump on the front of the TDV6, this doesn't appear to be an easy job although I have the beginnings of an idea which needs expanding.
Has anyone fitted a hydraulic winch to the TDV6?

Chris Tyler has 8)
I'm working on a powerpack solution that will (hopefully) fit against the chassis on the opposite side to the D3's air compressor

Thanks TFC, how soon will your unit be ready, and what will drive it?
I'll put the request into another thread in the modifications section

Whats that Iain, an extra electric pump?
Richard, Chris runs his winch off the power steering pump, as it'd probably be too difficult to try and fit a dedicated pump. It is a milemarker as well. Using the PS pump is fine, but it can be a bit slow, which is why I guess you're trying to fit a dedicated pump?IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver
