EPB Module
I have had the EPB module on our D4 replaced today. The car is just out of its new warranty and I am delighted that I took out the LR extended warranty two weeks ago ! The cost of the module was just over £700 fitted - 70% of the cost of the warranty.
The flip side is that it's disappointing that LR still don't seem to have got to grips with this issue, which appears to recur regularly for owners (if this forum is a measure of that).
Hats off to Taggarts Glasgow South for turning it round quickly (to enable my wife to tow her horsebox as planned tomorrow) - and for pressing the "warranty man" at LR to approve the job quickly.

Hi pjgraham86,
Glad you got that sorted; what was the problem in the first place and you had to replace the module?

I thought nearly £1000 for the warranty was steep but knowing what I know now it would have been bargain.D4

The handbrake wouldn't release. LR Assist released it via the emergency release under the cupholders. They said the issue might be with the cable but I am glad it was diagnosed as the expensive fault !

Couldnt agree more Steve.
I have the peace of mind for another 11 months but knowing that the warranty has almost paid for itself already, disappointing though the failure is.

I would guess that if the vehicle was not in warranty a cheaper fix could have been achieved. LR dealers do not delve into the EPB module and even simple jams are routinely cured by replacing the whole unit at an eye-watering price.
I think I am right in saying that Mikey has not changed a single module since applying the unjam procedure as detailed in his guide.
I'm glad the warranty has worked for you as they are expensive and rely on more people putting money in than people taking money out.
