I'm Back! Again!! :)
Well after a year in a tdv8 range rover sport HST i have returned to the disco camp. Picked up this morning a feb 2011 D4 sdv6 XS in Baltic blue. Was happy with the RRS but after a trip to Scotland last month and seeing Euans red D4 i decided me wanty!! So its completely Euans fault and when my missus moans that we have to eat grit because we have spent all our money, i will send her to live with him

First mods have already taken place, replaced the front sidelights, number plate lights and reverse lights with LEDs. More to come

Upto now this is my verdict over the RRS-
Things i will miss-
TDV8 grunt and soundtrack
Seat folding armrests, will have to look and see if these can be retrofitted??
adaptive xenons-Best headlamps ever!!
brembo brakes-looks and braking although the d4 brakes are good they look sh*te at the mo!
Things i like-
RRS-21/22 mpg D4-upto now 29/30 mpg
DAB radio- years ahead of RRS (even though it had full logic 7 setup)
ipod full integration instead of aux port
quieter on the road
far superior ride in the D4
proper tailgate!
LET THE MODS BEGIN- WATCH THIS SPACE

They all come back in the end
Welcome back Paul...glad I could be of service in returning you to the fold....Man Maths won in the end.....
As for mods,I told the other Paul (1967jester) what you were planning, and he is happy to supply pics of his new Baltic Blue beauty with its recent black bits,so you can get an idea of what they'll look like......
Ps before I take your wife in part-ex,I'll need to know mileage/condition etc,so pics would be helpful "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

I've just come back to the Disco camp too marsie (must get that avatar changed).
From pretty much the same spec RRS that you had and I totally agree with the points you make about it. I do miss the TDV8 grunt and noise but the D4 just ticks more boxes.
What was the mod you did for the reversing LEDs? How much difference does it make?

Hi Marsie, welcome back.
I assume those bulbs don't cause any issues with low wattage and the car thinking they've blown? I note some are advertised as such but these do not mention anything in the ad.
They certainly look bright
The description of your wife is very funny but I'm concerned may land you in hot water if she reads it Nick
2010 D4 ....... now gone and replaced with a 05RRV Autobiography
