MY13 Running at over 31 mpg!
Bit of a milestone here as I have achieved a true average of 30.066 mpg over the last 3 tankfuls / 1354 miles.
Managed to get my D3 to 29 point something, but never broke the big 30 over 3 tankfuls, so pretty happy!
Would nice to get even more before the cold weather hits and the mpg tumbles again. Meanwhile the wife gets about 32 mpg running average in her little Mazda.

Well done. Mine is averaging 22.5 after 3k. Mind you, I drive it like I stole it most of the time, and its doing a fair bit of town driving with swmbo at the moment.
Don't do enough long runs to get anywhere near that
Plus I only have a lowly MY10
Maybe France this summer will up my average Cheers Ian

My commute is over 50 miles per day across a mix of town and country. I don't hand around but I do think ahead and slow early so I am very easy on the brakes. This makes an appreciable difference without the Miss Daisy bit and makes up for the short journeys such as moving kids from A to B via A for no apparent reason. The transition from winter to summer driving is pretty clear on the graph.
For those that are interested in the silly mpg display it is showing a pointless 34.7 mpg over the same 1354 miles.
Dreading the 1354 miles going back up the hill…

Looks like RoadTrip Lite.
It's not as good as a detailed spreadsheet, but it is always available.

MY13
Picked up my new 4 from Kettering Saturday, not familiar with all the toys yet but the Sat nav said homeward journey to Norfolk 115mls, fuel gauge said 100mls left. Turned off climate control kept it under 70mph got home with 25mls left in the tank. Well pleased.

My rolling 3-tank average is now over 31 mpg and keeps creeping upwards, so updated the thread title. Got 515 miles between my last fills, even with the smaller D4 tank.
Never thought the move to the D4 would be so economical.

So how much better can it get?

My MY10 is doing 26 mpg with very careful driving and a 30k miles on the clock. The lie-meter tells me it's doing 33mpg

My lie-meter has the same affliction; whilst I am happy with my 31+ the dash shows 35.7mpg. Pretty useless device compared to my MY05 that relished in giving me the accurate / painful truth.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
