When I first powered the unit on, it came up with the Range Rover logo. Second time, it came up with the Land Rover logo. It obviously worked out what car it was connected to. In my CCF file, I have the following:
Multi Media Module (HLDF) Manufacturer Mode DENSO mode
Is this correct or should it be Land Rover mode?

I'll switch it over tomorrow. Can't see it making much difference, but you never know.

a few things myself and Flack (Mick) have noticed since fitting this mod are,
The voice command (if that's what it's called) will stop working. Pressing the button on the steering wheel will do nothing (no matter how many times or how hard you press it )
The Bluetooth connects to the phone but the first call you receive cannot be heard or seen on the D4 unit (neither ringing or person speaking) over the speakers even though it is connected to the Bluetooth. All calls after this one are fine.
I haven't had any other problems but if these things matter to you then its worth thinking about. Pat from innov is working on the voice command thing and will let myself and Mick know if he sorts it.
Bodsy have you had any luck with the reverse camera? I haven't got one fitted yet so would like to know if yours works with this mod?
Geoff: EGR's blanked, gearbox flushed, allisport hoses, BAS Remap, 3 flash indicator, D4 bluetooth, remote FBH
Uncle Ray: Spare wheel protector
Flack: Reverse camera
Allisport de-cat pipe, D4 19" alloys, D4 piano black steering wheel, piano black interior, colour coded trim, cubby fridge, full length roof rails

I knew about the voice command not working. It's a shame, because I never used it for actually controlling anything, more for amusement to see what it would come up with next. I won't miss it if it never comes back, but if it can be made to work then fair enough.
Oddly enough, I noticed the "first call" phenomenon last night. We were testing the phone, and sure enough the first call just rang the phone in my pocket. Second call, it rang as expected in the car. Very strange. It also did something odd on the way home tonight. I go through an area where there's no signal. I saw the "phone disconnected" message on the radio display. Switching to the phone screen, sure enough it showed no phone connected. The phone automatically connected almost immediately, but it took a while for this to be shown on the screen. It actually said "Bluetooth" on the display and the radio display for a time, then it sorted itself out. Very strange.
I checked out the fakra cable tonight. The screen seems OK but it's difficult to check the inner signal cable as it's so small. It was dark when I was I was doing it so it will have to wait for the weekend I think. I'll change the CCF file then too.

Well, I changed to Land Rover mode just now. No change.
The only thing I can think now is
1) The sat nav is duff.
2) The cable is duff.
Too dark to check out the cable tonight. I'll try again tomorrow.

Nubber99 do you get the Gps icon on screen with a line through it, or no icon at all.
It might be worth you checking out whats going on in the screen through the hidden menu as you can check the gps and what it is recieveing .
You also want to reset the touch screen, I deleted all the old stuff of mine and I never saw the RRS logo on startup. I did get the low fuel warning once but have never seen it since even when using a route.

I get the GPS logo with a line through it, which kind of suggests that no signal is being received.
How do you get into the hidden menu, reset the touch screen and delete the old stuff?

Hmm, found the hidden menu.
After looking through the various items of information, the one that sticks out is "GPS antenna open".
The antenna was fine before the D4 unit went it, so the only thing between them is the extension lead. Looks like I need to investigate further.
There are lots of errors. I couldn't see a way of clearing them. No idea if they are of any significance though.
How do you clear out the old information and reset it.

So those using d4 Bluetooth modules .
D4 module does not store any voice controls like the D3 did .
You normally pull the voice controls from the Multi media module ( navigation DVD player ).
But now you are not using the MMM you will not get the voice commands.
cant remember if the voice stuff is now stored in the Screen or radio.
If any one is using the D3 bluetooth , you may have to select voice control hosted via Bluetooth instead of MMM in the CCF ( but that will only give you phone voice commands ... None of the others ) G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Wiggs your spot on I changed my voice control the other day from MMM to Bluetooth and now my bluetooth and radio have been ok so far.. I used to get a split second where the radio would cut out and the bluetooth disconnect, but since changing my CCF to the above it seems ok.
Still no voice but not bothered about that as I never used it anyway.

Ok. This morning I checked out my FAKRA lead. It's fine.
I removed the D4 nav and replaced it with the D3. Apart from having to change the CCF back to Denso, it works fine. So there's nothing wrong with the GPS receiver.
Only a few of things I can think of:
The D4 nav is kaput.
My particular GPS receiver isn't compatible with the D4 nav. I have a 54 reg D3, so it's reasonably early. When I was doing the wiring for the D4 nav, there were wire colour differences from the instructions, but I ignored those and followed the pinouts instead.
There is something in the configuration of the D4 nav unit that is stopping it from working. When I look at the diagnostics and look at the fitted maps, it does seem odd. It thinks Russian maps are fitted - which they aren't as I have a map of London showing!
Anyway, I've put the D3 one back for now until I decide what to do.
