When you see something stuck up to its axles you gotta give them credit for optimism!!!

Looks like the tractor is going to pull the combine out backwards which is risky as you can pull the rear axle off or stretch the chassis!D3 x2 now gone

Ok, thanks to everyone who has been patiently etching this thread. I'm now home, later than ecpected as the lane is now flooded to almost a foot.
Sorry about pictures coming upside down....... Internet speed here is 0.3Mbs so any kind of editing is painful in the extreme.
Anyway, for the record, I was out at 0700. Dark. Dug gently sloping channels in front of all wheels. Dug out alongside wheels in gloopytastic mud with much squelching. Put down a wheelbarrow of gravel, forcing under the wheels as far as I could. Plus a bag of straw.
Range Rover Assist turned up at 0750 and my car was looking so well prepared for exit that I tried to drive it out. Video is not as exciting as one might hope. Wheels started to spin so rather than dig myself further in, we decided to tow.
Tow rope on the Disoc, another on the Rangey. Four lengths of un breakable blue nylon cord between the two proper toe ropes. Nearest firm ground for rr was bout 30 yards away.
Sad to say (from the point of telling a story) that it came out easy.
I didn't let the tyres down. I suspect that with more digging, gravel and straw I could eventually have got out alone. I would also have borrowed a trolley jack and got some gravel or wood right under a wheel or two.
I used low ratio, mud ruts setting, off road suspension. Tried to turn off disc but nothing seems to light up.
I walked my route again and I could see that a mere few yards deviation would have seen me miss the Super Bog AA.
Anyway, sorry not to "live tweet" the recovery but priority had to go to birthday girl! Thanks again for all advice and offers of assistance. Of course I have "learnt my lesson" now....
