Powered Tailgate

I want to buy a Discovery SE Tech but a powered tailgate is not an option, (my wife would need one to close the upper tailgate).
I have had one dealer tell me they are not an option and another tell me that they are, I therefore contacted Land Rover who stated the obvious that it is manual but haven't really answered the question.
If a powered tailgate is not on the option list is there an after market fit that allows the upper part of the tailgate to be shut electrically.

Welcome Brummie

Is it a matter of reach or strength?

I know a lady you can't reach the upper tailgate to close it. She had two solutions, a cord and a rod to catch the upper tailgate.

In the end she opted for the cord.

A long cord reaching nearly to the ground with the lower end made like a rope ladder. Pull down with one foot, then the other, etc until nearly closed, bundle rope in back and dunt top tailgate shut. May not be too elegant when wearing a mini-skirt, but (sadly) these are very rare nowadays.

The disco sport has a powered tailgate (boot) the disco does not. So might the sport be an option (or RRS or Evoque)
