Steering Angle calibration
Did a code read for a colleague at the weekend. He'd been complaining about an intermittent airbag light problem.
Did all the usual stuff, nothing particularly untoward until I checked his steering calibration - was stating it was -780 degrees
Recalibrated it, all seems OK and the airbag light extinguished (for now anyway).

What is involved in calibration? I am doing my suspension tonight and I know what to expect for that. Is it a case of centring the steering and calling it 0 degrees? Do you turn lock to lock as well or anything like that?D3 Tonga HSE 2005

Nope, just makes sure the wheels are dead ahead and press the button. I did manage to recalibrate 360 out once. The next 100yrds was interesting Mark.

How do you make sure they are dead ahead Is there a technique or is a visual check okay?
