So, the last LR4 was a black Landmark, so I like the black thing.
It was only a matter of time before more and more parts turned to black on my US one.

So I spent hours googling expensive side vents, grille and wheel refurbishment.
Then i remembered the latest craze in Plastidip, it is even easier than I imagined to use.
So, I have trialled the colour and like lit, lets see how long it lasts.
I have 'glossified' the wheels and side vents, but I like the way the front grille matches the bumper insert at the moment and have left that matte.

By the way, I am on a temporary tag until my plateS get here. In Texas you are supposed to run a front plate but this 2011 has never had one fitted... lets see how long it is before I get pulled!
(Had T66MPL in the UK (ie not T66 MPL), ran it ok in Sheffield for 3 years, 1 week in Newcastle and I got a nasty letter from the plod)... fingers crossed

Looks very tasty Thumbs Up

How does the 5.0 compare to the TDV6 (leaving fuel consumption out it)?

Graham

The pure low down grunt of the Diesel is missing.
...but the V8 is a fair bit quicker! probably too quick for the vehicle Shocked
(it still has some low down grunt: 375 ft. lbs)
Fuel is $3 a gallon so not bothered about that at the moment Whistle

Rob

The gloss is actually Plasti Dip 'Glossifier'.

(it is off the shelf here in Lowes)

Rob,

I am sure I could get you a job over here Smile

US is going a little diesel crazy (or DEISEL as its spelt at a local gas station).

Duallies and Trucks with 8"+ exhaust outlets or stacks seem to be breeding

My wifes jeep runs on E85, which is crazy cheap.

Plasti Dip really does last!

I had it on my Audi (whole car)

My Merc (wheels)

And more is going to be on the D4 soon. Great product IF applied properly Thumbs Up
