Can I ask what sockets you use with this please robbie.
Is that a standard socket or an impact socket?
I'm using a Sealey 22mm alloy wheel impact socket - about a tenner when bought separately but kits are available. For the D3 a 23mm sometimes comes in handy too.

Bought some smaller 1/2" impact sockets from Halfords. As usual it was cheaper to buy a set than the ones I needed (£15.99 trade) so have 3 repeats / spares. I forgot how black and rough they are when new:

Have quite a bit of Ryobi 18v kit so made sense as no extra expense of batteries.

Good morning Rob, a quick question, how do the 3 settings work on the Makita?
It's got to be better than a 26" breaker bar
Hello,
You will have to do your own conversions from lb ft to Nm, but this video review has it all:
I use a 140Nm torque stick for tightening and it compares really well to a torque wrench - I am sad enough to have checked it! A quick squeeze of the trigger and everything is done perfectly.

Pleased to hear you find the torque stick accurate. I'm always cautious as my CP7749 packs quite a punch! My stick's 135Nm though, so I would always do the last 5Nm by hand and have found it does need it, which is a good sign.
