Dealer crashed my car :(
Sent our D3 in to our local dealer because of an oil leak from the steering pump. All fixed very quickly under warranty.
Dealer sends his driver to deliver vehicle. Driver runs up some old ladies ar$e 500m from the dealership.
If you take a close look (excuse the Nokia picture and my shooting skills) you will see the bonnet is kinked, the bumper and A-bar are toast, but who knows what delighhts await behind the grille?
DP says I need to claim off my insurance. Bad idea, I say, seeing as it will inevitably affect my 7 year no-claim status, which means I enjoy very low rates.
We'll see how it all ends up on Monday. Anyone else in SA had a similar misfortune? If so, advice very welcome please.

Seeing as I am trying to buy a RRS from them I think it was quite a kak idea to trash my wife's D3

Actually, I got the impression they were serious ! !
Will chat to DP Monday, and hopefully not have to resort to any legal stuff, but very happy to if necessary. Have really good lawyer on retainer. Very experienced in vehicle matters, strangely enough.

Maybe pulic liability laws are different in SA? But on the face of it I think your dealer is taking the

I know that ramp to the workshop, reception left sales right and workshop strait ahead. I had an incident with them too where a bonnet had to be re sprayed M the DP also said use own insurance. This resulted in a the view is simple my car you damaged it you fix it why must I use my claim free bonus
After a bit of mumf mumf and ^#^&##$%* Mr M gave me a car while they fix it.
O and just check your insurance before you mention it to them regarding designated driver and other drivers and all that White LR3 TDV6 2007

What a crock, good luck with sorting it out Baben. Wondering if the dealer is concerned about liability for who they hit...anyone hurt?I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

thats what public liabilty is for they crashed they sort any decent dealer should sort it no problem good look.

hmm, show the DP how the under body plate is not where it belongs, more like an air scoop
They will pull out the "owner's risk" clause (fine print on the back of the bad copy of jobcard you signed 2 years ago) 8) or they may be nice and tell you to fix it yourself
Good luck.
Damage off premises as well. They should know dealer should fix it under their insurance.
