Waiting for recovery - Again! & now back at dealers

Driving back from the opticians this morning and the car went all jerky and unresponsive with very little power available, then a warning sound and restricted performance came up on the display Crying or Very sad

Rang the dealers and was told the car must not be driven and needs to be lifted, so now waiting for the RAC again.

Thanks, only had to wait half an hour Thumbs Up

RAC engineer plugged in his computer and found a long list of faults Shocked but apparently the main problem was that there was no turbo boost pressure. I drove it to the dealers and he followed me there and brought me back.

Practically had to floor the accelerator at junctions before the car would accelerate and the drive to the dealer was rather jerky.

That is correct, it's now on its 5th battery and I'm told that the battery issues are because I don't do enough mileage. However I can fully charge it and then find its critically low again within a few days, however at the moment the battery voltage seems to be ok.

Usual crap from dealers. Rolling Eyes Does it say anywhere in their glossy brochures that you must drive it x thousand miles a year to avoid calling the yellow taxi?

Mine sits regularly for 3 weeks at a time with no problem at all. It's faulty - the dealer should fix it.

Woody, has it gone to Gordon Lambs? If so mine is in there at the moment too for the glass roof recall so it'll have good company Laughing

It is at Gordon Lambs Thumbs Up

They phoned me tonight, apparently it needs a turbo repair kit. Told that it's a 3 hour job once the kit arrives.

Shocked once it arrives Shocked
Sounds like it might not be too imminent!
Hope you get it sorted soon. GL seem to be pretty good though, can't complain about anything they've done to mine......yet *keeping fingers and toes crossed*

Collected it early afternoon Thumbs Up Apparently it was the secondary turbo that was the problem.

As usual, superb service from Gordon Lamb Land Rover Thumbs Up and the car was nice and clean inside and out...until the heavens opened on the way back.
