JThe MD at Hunters is looking to learn from them as to why they are #1 dealer :
surly IF he hasn't learned now, there's no hope it will happen; as an MD he is the person making decision; not working for his group now means still not working later.
Experience is a difficult teacher, because she gives the test first and then the lesson afterwards!!!!

IMHO Hunters Guildford might want to listen to a few of their own customers for a starting point, but it would appear they never really bothered in the past
+1 for that, had a new F1 from them in 2002 and their after care was dire. Fortunately I worked in Basingstoke back then so was actually easier to go to Webbers (family business?) who were brilliant at looking after me and the car despite the fact they didn't supply it.
Alas Webbers are no more and the dealer in Basingstoke is Harwoods, parts and servicing shared with a BMW/Mini and staffed by people with no knowledge of the green oval brand whatsoever last time I visited D4 - Stornoway Grey

Hunters have acknowledged that both Guava and Conrico in Chertsey (who I use) have been taking customers for the last few years to the point where they are now price matching quotes.
In my experience hunters have been pretty good, use your negotiation skills and you will get the same rates "you cannot teach stupid people to do clever things"

Never thought of that.
Any feedback on them in case Hunters (Godalming Liberation Army Branch) go all corporate on us?

I've found them excellent Derek, I believe guava was originally formed from ex Conrico personnel
Keith in the parts department is on a par with Nick (ex Yeovil) although the discounts are not quite as good.
Same set up as Guava, I.e export landys and full approved workshop, diagnostics and 4 wheel alignment"you cannot teach stupid people to do clever things"

Well hats off to Hunters (Guava) and fingers up to Harwoods in Basingstoke.
One brake pad went to metal for some reason and ruined the disc. In an emergency went to Kwik Fit in Basingstoke who were pretty good to be fair. However the wheel and pads still cooked after replacement so on to Kwik Fit who took it in straight away. They couldn't figure what was wrong so suggested Harwoods who are only a mile away...
Most unhelpful. Workshop full. Earliest would be next Wednesday despite two dogs and a wife complete with down with rain.
Hunters - get it recovered here asap and we will look at it on Thursday (was 16:45 at the time when I rang them from the roadside).
So at the moment Hunters have the big Series 2a V8 killed it
