Bouncy ride

Morning all,

I had a compressor exhaust failure when I was on my overland trip which caused the rear suspension to be elevated from normal height, this was with a roof top tent weighing approx. 60kg's.

I had to travel approximately 2000 miles overland mainly on corrugated gravel roads and through washed a few away ravines in this condition. I have now had the compressor replaced FOC (as I had a new one fitted by LR before I left as a precaution!), the ride in the rear is now very bouncy so I am assuming the rear shocks are completely shot.

I know there have been post saying the shocks do not fail but I am certain mine have (as SWAMBO's D3 has a perfect ride by comparison).

Has anyone changed their rear shocks, if so what is involved? Alternatively could I have missed something simple other than shocks failing? BTW the D3 has only done 90k miles.

what did you do to resolve the bounce? My LR3 rear-end has gotten real bouncy after a 130 mile desert trip. The road was a bit rough on my suspension.
