Still very happy
Still very happy with our purchase, although I've become a chauffeur, removals, and a van man since purchasing the D4. Yet to get it off road but hoping to escape soon.
I've a couple of questions which are posted below. Apologies if I should have split these up and posted them elsewhere on this forum. Happy to do so.
1. Is there any way of having the heating on auto but without the aircon on? You could do this on the Freelander.
2. If I put my iTunes music onto a USB stick, will this play through the car's USB slot?
3. 19 or 20 inch. The car is currently on 20 inch wheels. What's the difference between them (and not just the size!)? Will I find more decent tyres with one size rather than the other?
4. How can I escape chauffeuring duties?

1.?
2.?
3. The smaller the wheel the bigger the side-wall and hence 'better' ride (comfier) much more choice of tyres in 19 than 20 and even more in 18 but they wouldn't fit over D4 brakes
4. With great difficulty, just accept that you're at least going to have a big on your face while on duty

I sometimes think I should have bought a boot tray and not told the wife it has 7 seats. Every time friends or family go somewhere it's our car instead of 2 normal cars.

1. Switch on auto and then just push the AirCon button to switch AC off. The ventilation system will continue to work in Auto but without the AirCon capabilities.
2. The car will only play certain filetypes. Not being an iMan, I'm not certain, but I don't think the default filetype for iTunes is .MP3 which will definitely play on your D4 via USB. If you can convert to MP3 and put these files onto your USB stick, you are good to go.
