Yes all the same like for like pulleys.

I've tried that disco Mikey , the tensioner is hard to hold back to remove the belt but maybe not strong enough to keep it at the right tension ?

I think all the belts are the same size with 8 ribs. The belt I'm using was removed from the blown up engine so I think a new one is in order just I case it had stretched in some way ??

Could be and idea to remove the belts start it up for a second and switch straight off! ( i know this isn't good practice) but that will eliminate the belts if it stops if not it could be bearings in the fan pulleys ect just a thought

Mines a lot stronger then that Mike. I struggled to hold it back while trying to slip the belt on. Took me 3 attempts Laughing

Lee, did it resolve the issue?

I had a similar problem, with an awful sqealing
as soon as I touched the steeringwheel.

In my case, it was a matter of wrongly routed
belt.

After consulting the manual, I routed it correctly,
and the squeal disappeared.

I've changed the belt and tensioner today still the same.

Has anyone got a diagram of the belt route ?

If I've done it wrong I'm going to kick myself stupid. Also got a puncture today.

Been a great week so far Sad Big Cry

That's how I've routed mine.

I'm at a loss with it now.

Maybe a trip to the stealers to see if they can diagnose Sad

After a long drive today the squeak also happens on the front when going over a speed bump.

On the up and down ???

Any ideas ???

I have exactly the same symptoms as you do. I suspect it might be the upper arms as the lower ones are changed recently. I have tried lubricating everywhere but no effect. Other possibility would be the shocks but since it squeks when standing still and just turning the wheels it seems unlikely. I also get the squek just by bouncing the car up and down at the front bumper and it is on both sides.

Well all the bushes are ok. No noises.

The 4x4 garage next door Put it down to the tensioner as the noise is at the front

Bought a new tensioner from landrover

Fitted it. And low and behold ...................

It's still doing it !!!!!!!

That's new steering fluid , new belt , bushes checked , and now a new tensioner.

Going to throw the towel in I think. Mad

Does it only make the noise as you are turning the steering wheel, or does it stop as soon as you stop turning?

Only when I turn the steering wheel. It does it 80% of the time. Sometimes not at all but very rarely. And when I go over speed bumps. Apart from that it's silent when driving and when sat still either on idle or revved.
