Hi All,
Does anybody have the pin outs for the turbo actuator so I can bench test it?
The actuator was stuck and I've freed it up, greased it and now want to test it before refitting the turbo.

Top tip for the actuator rod |
|
Hi Guys,
While waiting for a reply to my post, I thought I'd share a tip with you as to why the rod can sometimes become stuck.
From the photos, you can see that one end of the rod is a ball/socket type connector and the other is a bolt. The bolt end connects to the actuator motor spindle. On full travel, the rod was getting stuck because the shouldered bolt was not quite long enough to prevent the rod from being pinched. So a little bit of filing on the rounded side (which attaches to the motor spindle) and now the shoulder protrudes slightly.
Grease up with high temp grease (hub grease is good) and now the rod moves freely for the full travel of the actuator.
