sorry should have said the only problem is the cruse control is intermittent and has only ever lit up amber on dash

Possible causes include the loom behind the airbag, switchpack and clockspring (in ascending order of cost). The loom is very common and cheap. can reset it wit iid but when turn engine off it comes back on and cruse wont work
