From the list of the possible mods and additions a new battery has surfaced on the first place today morning.
The night was colder with a bit of rain, the morning is humid and the engine is not starting. I can hear the click but that is as far as it goes. The battery, when measured, produces 11.4 V which qualifies it for replacement - seems to be on the vehicle from the day one.
Now, should I do the ignition wires in the near future or I should be good - what is your experience? BTW: are the wires placed in the same awful manner as in DII or it is easier to replace them w/o visiting the service?

Everything is fine now with the new battery It has been really heavy though and taking the old one off the vehicle has been tricky.
There was service menu available for me just for a moment and I saw the oil being low. So the next thing is to add 1L of engine oil.

Oil added but brake pads worn has been displayed so it seems that it is next in queue [along with a routine service check]

So it will feel like brand new however you are right private sale [imported from Ned] and some of the stuff needs to be done. The battery has been there from it's first day, not sure about the brake pads however I assume that someone replaced them along the way and I'm just unfortunate to hit end of life of current ones.
How it was with yours?

Approved used car and only just serviced after picking her up from dealer, only needing tyres for the front, which is something I picked up on with the salesman. Would not budge on them as no advisory on MOT but did ask for cash of the list price which he did eventually oblige with. So far loving it, greedy on fuel, maybe but not horrendous!

Compared to my previous 4.7L V8 High Output Jeep Grand Cherokee my current Discovery is far from being greedy on fuel Also it is just better

Rear brake pads replaced and I'm surprised that it actually has been cheaper than I anticipated The next stage is the service routine check also with replacing the differential oil.
