This is my guide for replacing the air reservoir tank on a Discover 3.
Things you will need.
.1. New Air Tank,
.2. Four new M6 Bolts 20mm long and four lock washers
.3. WD40 or similar
.4. 10mm socket for existing bolts.
.5. Socket for new bolts mine were 13mm
.6. 12mm open ended spanner for voss air connector.
.7. Flat blade screwdriver.
.8. Hammer.
.9. Axle stands
First thing to do is go round with the WD40 on all the bolts for a week before as they are probably rusted in.
This is the order I did things but its just a guide.
.1. Start car and raise to off road height and if you have a iid tool vent the air from reservoir and put in build mode to stop it self leveling, once vented turn car off. (if you dont have an iid tool pull fuse F26 then undo the 12mm voss connector once you get to step no .6. slowly waiting for the air to vent before fully removing)
.2. Remove the air compressor cover and place axle stands under chassis.
.3. Undo the two 10mm bolts shown in the picture below at the front of the air tank I gave both a good tap with a hammer before attempting to undo them,
.4. Undo the two 10mm bolts shown in the picture below at the rear of the air tank again I gave a tap with a hammer first.
.5. I then used a screwdriver and prized open the plate at the rear where the tank was bolted on this will release the tang and you can then lower the air tank at the rear, whilst lowering (it will only drop 6" feed the air line over the body mount carefully there is enough slack to allow this)
.6. I then placed a axle stand under the rear of the air tank to take its weight and then undid the voss connector using the 12mm spanner and removed this and pipe from the air tank, dont forget to remove the colet and voss connector form the pipe.
.7. Next step is to lift the front of the air tank so the front tang is clear of its hole and extract the whole thing towards the rear of the car.
.8. next step get the new air tank and bolts ready for fitting.
.9. To fit keep the rear of the tank low and lift the front over its bolting plate then place the axle stand under the front and fit the air pipe into the voss connector making sure it goes almost upto the bulge on the pipe and pull back to make sure its it good and tight.
.10. Next step is to slowy lift the rear of the air tank carefully feeding the air line back over the body mount, at this stage the rear tang will eventually after a good push locate in the hole on the bolting plate.
.11. I then put the bolts in the front two holes and did up hand tight I put copper grease on the thread and used a lock washer.
.12. In the picture below im pointing to the tang i needed to bend this upwards so I could get enough clearance for the bolts , I then placed the screwdriver in the opening behind the captive nuts on the air tank and twisted clockwise this enabled me to get the two rear bolts in, I then tightened all bolts.
.13. I then started the car re-enabled the suspension and waited for the compressor to fill the tank, one full I sprayed soapy water on the voss connector and the pipe work I had moved to check for air leaks, last thing remove axle stand and replace compressor cover.

Very good write-up furnitureman that will help a lot of others wanting to do the same.
Just couple of things I would add. It's worth giving the tank a couple of coats of stone chip before fitting and whilst the tank is out give the chassis there a good clean and also a couple of coats of stone chip.

Brilliant guide fitted it today . Was an absolute nightmare to get bolts off . Finally found the best tool ever tho .... dremel with steel blade .cut bolts off in no time

also thought the write up was brilliant
done the same and gave the new tank a few coats of dinotrol
did buy some irwin sockets as by christ it was a pain trying to get the old bolts out and they were a life saver
also replaced the new voss connector with a brass pushfit, found it alot easier

Took mine off, wire brushed with the angle grinder and 2 coats of Hammerite smooth.
Hopefully good for a few more years.
