I know I'm in the minority but I actually like its looks especially on darker colours with 20 inch black pack pic shows my order (can be cancelled or changed)
Having sat in a D5 & also test driven a new RR Sport the difference is startling D5 Interior is so much more modern & thought out.
Waiting for a test drive till I make final decision

The only thing I dislike about the rear is the bumper, if that had been just a single piece, nice and flush and one colour it would improve it massively.
Personally though I don't buy a car for its looks I buy one based on how it will suit my lifestyle, I couldn't care less whether someone else likes it or not, it's not them that's paying for it. Similarly I couldn't care less whether someone thinks it will spend its time in Waitrose car park or outside school gates, my D5 will see more mud than some on here with their fancy landmarks but they bought the car that suited their needs. 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

It does look better in the darker colours and from the pictures i like the looks as a whole.
I went to have a look at a LWB FFRR this morning to see if it was a viable alternative to the Disco for my needs. I had glanced at them previously but wanted to see if it was in anyway workable but it wasn't as its totally built as a Limo for 4 people. It did make me wonder, as its the same platform a LWB D5 with bigger boot rather than more passenger space would be a welcome move for me they could square off the back and give it a split tailgate and it would be perfect
Anyway, as i say i like it in the photos but looking forward to the 3rd when i meet it in the flesh to really decide. Would love a photo of a D4 and D5 next to each other with the boots open to compare but i doubt LR would be happy to facilitate such as shot at this stage.MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

It's the multi coloured tenna lady rear bumper that makes it look a whole lot worse.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

My point exactly...what exactly is that big slab of dull grey plastic doing there ?....is it functional ?....is it for protection ?.....did Lego over-purchase and sell LR a load to be melted down ?....it's just nasty...
I will concede that the Black Pack photo earlier in this thread mitigates it somewhat, and makes it less obvious.....
I expect most will be specced with the Black Pack after being viewed in the metal...."Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Still, let's look on the bright side....what a fantastic safety feature......the chances of being tailgated are vastly reduced.....nobody will want to get too close to that view "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

If I didn't know otherwise, I'd assume that big silver coloured centre section of the bumper was an aftermarket mobility device. Something like a ramp or lift that slid out to assist the loading of a wheelchair.

I think I found the explanation. In order to meet Euro 6, they had to inject horse pis in the exhaust, also called liquid urea or Ad-blue. So to meet the Euro 7, they will have to inject horse now. The "grey plastic slab" is the collector required for this extra environmental feature.

Yeah but the Bentayga is proper ugly - saw my first one in the Garden Centre not so far from Gareth which has the usual collection of footballers Snorts and such, and it is a big ugly pig, not nice at all. I think we're all coming to the conclusion that the Full Fat is damn near perfect bar the missing 6th and 7th seat - and so it should be for the price Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Perhaps the bit at the back is some kind of inflatable air cushion that helps it achieve the claimed 900mm wading depth?2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Reminds me of SWMBO's Mokka which has the same odd ball different colour segment in its rear bumper just the same...Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

It's the "used nappy" LR family look, sadly, and it looks like the thing has cr*pped in its boxers.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk
