Will the Premium Stereo play MP3's on a DVD? |
|
I've burnt hundreds of MP3's on CD-Rs which work fine in my stereo but never tried to put them on a DVD to get more songs on the 6 discs.
So my question is whether or not the CD player can recongnise a DVD with MP3's.
Thanks,

Hi Chris,
As far as I know the player is only able to read CD disks (CD-audio or mp3 files burned as a CD-ROM data disk), not DVD.
The Sat Nav unit runs from a dedicated DVD-ROM drive, but I don't think there is any way to connect this to the audio system.
I hope this helps (although I've just realised it probably doesn't )
Cheers,

....the Ipod installation from LR also has a USB slot that lives in the glove box.
if a memory stick uses MP3 & plays thorugh the stereo on the AUX function there is way
a 4 gig memory stick has a few thousand tracks capacity & doesnt get scratched or stuck in the player.
Just a thought BREXIT - done properly.

Would like to know if that works - & how the file / folder structure layout should be...
Was wondering whether a USB hard drive would work, having just started transferring all my music onto mp3 on a £65 from pcworld 2.5" USB powered 120Gb drive.

single files on the root directory.....to get MP3's into stereo.
I have tried loading MP3 files out of Itunes library onto a spare memory sitck...
I put some in a directory & some in folders (....if you copy & paste it defaults to this any way)
Put stick into USB connection in glovebox & selected AUX....no problem it plays the single files, however in a weird order ( - maybe alphanumeric with the file name) but didnt see the ones in folders. The sound was same as the Ipod - good sound quality.
I then put Ipod into holster & the unit went to play from here...so the default is USB slot first & Ipod holder next.
I dont know just how many tracks per Gig is the norm on a USB....it looked a lot less than on Ipod, but I believe there is some compression working on this (PC standard -> Ipod compressed)....no doubt somebody will advise. BREXIT - done properly.
