I'm hoping for somewhere between the two when we're there in 5-6 weeks. Bit of snow on the hills, clear roads. I've lost my snow driving abilities since finishing work in Germany 10 years ago!
If you are still considering skiing I recommend Riksgränsen (www.riksgransen.se) before Björkliden. They are very close to each other but the skiing is a bit better at Riksgränsen.
Also Narvik can offer som nice skiing (http://www.narvikfjellet.no). The view is spectacular, skiing up top and overlooking the Atlantic.

Finally some nice weather today so managed to fit the rear diff guard. Decided to remove the rear seats and sit the fridge there. Gives me plenty of room as I can then leave the dog guard and xanadoo in place for organisation too.

Well jell!! Not heading off for North Cape for 3 months.
If you fancy a proper cup of tea (as they only drink strong coffee here) - I'm 20km north of Jonkoping, 10 mins off the E4.
Drop me a pm if you have time for a pit stop.
Cheers and good luck!2012 Discovery 4 HSE Sumatra Black

Scwede, thank you, very kind but we are on a tight schedule. This first few days is a race to Lulea, the holiday part starts next week.
A few snags with the 'smart' charging system on the disco, solved by pulling the sensor at the neg terminal. Now it just charges constantly at 13.5v instead of boost charging then fuel save mode. It thows up a fault but it's no trouble.
We stopped in Dunkirk Last night and then a long day to Travemunde today. Just cast off on the ferry to Malmo.
Not taken many photos yet other than of my mate asleep in the passenger seat.

No it's an overnight ferry. Timed it so that instead of camping, we cover some decent distance whilst asleep.D4.5 Facelift, Lazer ST4, Prospeed underbody and rack, IID BT, Compomotive/BFG KO2, Series MFlaps, RAI, Dog Gd+XBB, Alive Tuned, T-Max/YellowTop, RemoteFBH, GlassesMod, WheelWinchMod, Jack Mod, LED Mods, Seized Crank Mod....

I'm doing the same on the way back, o/night ferry from Gotesburg to Kiel. Saves 400 miles and the cost is about the same as driving with an ibis budget.
Enjoy snuggling up for the night, what happens in the cabin stays in the cabin!!

Felt like being back onboard a ship at work, the smells and noises, good memories. Only difference is the bunk bed was extremely comfy and I didn't want to get out of it this morning.
Nice early start now should mean we stop well within daylight hours to find a wild camping spot somewhere en route.
Sweden!
