By it back and strip for bit? LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Speaking to my mates in the auto trade (who all want to buy the wreck ), I'm now fearing that it may not be "written off". Reason being, that NFU have a new replacement policy, which would mean they'd be paying out perhaps as much as c.£57,000.
That much money buys a lot of repair work!
Should hopefully know by Monday.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

NFU engineer has seen pics. but wants to see it in person. Should have answer by end of week or hopefully sooner. Gut feeling is they'll go for repair as that will be less than the 60% of its new list price. This is formula that I was told they work to. Which in my case means £34k. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Gutted for you, and as an old Saab owner, I'm more upset to hear about the damage to the Swedish one. Was it a og9-3 cab?

Crikey. I will refrain from saying something like it doesn't rain, it pours.
I sympathise with you and your fraught journey to get back to where you were before. Try to think of it as all part of life's journey and one day it will be relegated to a dinner table story.
I get what you say about your neighbours insurance and not wanting to talk about that, but hopefully either there is no further chance of more happening or work has/is being done to prevent that.

Clear up operation begins tomorrow. I really can't discuss it further on a public forum though.
My insurers wanted to repair the Landmark, but did give me the option to take a settlement amount instead. After a bit of wrangling we agreed on a sensible figure, which settled my outstanding finance and gave me exactly the same amount back as I'd put down as a deposit. So happy enough.
Guess what I've just placed a deposit on?2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
