Ukraine

10 to 12mpg.Extra urban is about 18mpg.

Had a few petrol cars. A 3.0L Z3 was achieving 17mpg in my hands for assorted trips. Whilst an first edition x5 3.0d rarely better 23mpg. (Managed 30mpg on a run)

Fuel consumption on the v8 is far better than I thought it could be.

There are those out there that have claimed regular 20 plus on their V8s and one member on here claimed 28 for a remapped one, I treat them with a little scepticism. I have achieved over 20 (22 on the lieometer) at steady eddy speeds on the motorway but life's too short for that.

Always use the computer / lieometer.

Checked mine only once with a brim to brim and it was around 1mpg out so close enough.(22 vs 21mpg).

hmmm 12mpg from a petrol V8 v 28mpg from a TDV6, on paper there's no contest but my main worry (apart from SWMBO!) is this bastid government and their evil eurocrat led machinations against the humble diesel aka child killer Evil or Very Mad engines, I'm getting around 50 mpg from my Skoda snooze-mobile, but in the process am killing the young, old, infirm plus polar bears every time I start it up Big Cry compared to the earth loving embrace only a V8 can give, what would Jebus do????
