12v socket removal from rear row panel...how???
Our D3 rear Aux socket has given up the ghost and I'm replacing it as an entire unit as this seems easiest. However, the replacement panel doesn't come with a 12v socket so I need to remove this from the current panel. But as much as I twist, pull and pinch it will not budge . Can anyone enlighten me on how it's removed??

You can unscrew the whole AUX assembly and transfer it to the old unit if you look at the back of it.

Thanks Narpy. Having spent half an hour twisting and pulling the 12v that solution is obvious, now you've said it!!
Cheers

I think you have to release the metal tube from its sleeve (sometimes coloured, sometimes black) first; then remove the sleeve from the panel.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
