I believe I have found the reason for part failure..............
Rear bolt for the pump has not been replaced by whoever has been in amongst the pump before my ownership.......
Thanks very much whoever you are for your negligence and depriving me of a sunny Saturday off work!!!!!!!

The reason for casting failure was that some numpty before my purchasing had been in amongst the pump and not put the rear bolt in the pump allowing it to pull forward and over time snapping the mount.
Oh well can't all be fanatics Rolling with laughter
