Ball joint separator
Hi all,
Bit of advice required please
I'm going to get a ball joint separator, but should i get the fork type that you hit with a hammer or use the type where you tighten a bolt/nut to loosen the joint. Its for track rod arms and poss lower front arms if i'm brave enough.
I have one but never use it, I always managed to get them out with a dead blow hammer, the fork ones are a waste of time for the D3/4.

Just to be clear the hammer blow is to the receiving socket, NOT, the ball joint, or its threaded shaft.
Agree with above clamp ball joint splitters are better, fork ones just split the boots.
