Still looking at the possibility.
For the money that's being asked for 12-18 month old used FFRR's, I've yet to be sufficiently impressed by the condition that they've been in, or the spec they've had. The D4 HSE-L is a tough act to follow! There was (still is) a good looking one at Southend, but the condition of what I've seen doesn't give me enough confidence to buy unseen, or even take the 600+ mile round trip to see it.
Still working on the man maths to see if a new one could be affordable. If that fails, I now have a level of confidence re-building in the Disco 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

After having complained to LR about the way this was handled they made me a very generous offer on an AVC (LR speak for Assisted Vehicle Change) to buy a new car from them It's an offer that's too good to ignore - thank you LR, it's done a lot to restore faith
So, it will be a very sad day when the D4 goes (in late September/early October), but I will now have the opportunity to test their latest fix (2,500 miles so far, with another 7-8,000 to add my the time that it goes). But, a nice new D5 will take it's place....
Nah! Only kidding!!
I will be sticking with something with a split tailgate though 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Ah, was it that obvious?!
It was unbelievably easy to drive off road and that V8 is lightening quick on the tarmac; motorcycle quick!
It's a lot more car like than the D4 though, I'll miss the feeling that I'm in a "proper" Land Rover.2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
