I had a crack in almost the same place. As far as I remember, a replacement perspex was about £60 and a bit of a faff replacing it. Perfectly do-able though when you work out how to dismantle the dash.

Sorry, tried to upload screenshots of the instructions but they are unreadable. Will try and pm them to you. Might not be until tomorrow though.

Thanks HughMartin, no worries not that urgent.
Also, after you fixed issue did not come back, i.e. Is it just one-off case or a known issue.

One off for me. It was actually there when I bought the car when it was three years old. Two years later, no repetion.

D4 cluster lens cracked
OMG can I ask how long this procedure takes. I too this morning noticed a crack in the cluster lens and thought the wife putting her sunglasses there must have been the culprit which she flatly denies could have been the cause.
So until I read this I had assumed it would take some force against the lense to do this but now wondering if it could be attributed to temperature changes especially if screws are too tight.
Does anyone know where to get a replacement lens for the d4.
Cheers

I replaced mine in a couple of hours with no instructions. See previous post for instructions.
