I've found a lovely old bottle jack clearing out the Grandmothers farm rated at 6ton. Ive tried it out but it didn't hold the weight (good job the wheel wasn't off at the time) so I'm guessing the seals have perished. Is there anywhere that can service and repair them or is it FUBAR?
I'd give it a go myself but would like to know its been tested properly.

Hydraulic company
Any company that deals with hydraulics should be able to re-seal it, but whether it would be worth it is another matter.Richard

If its not leaking externally its most likely not the seals but the tapered bit on the end of the bit you wind in to stop it dropping.
Bottle jacks now so cheap wont be worth financially repairing, if its interesting might sell on ebay.
