Changed out the grill, side vents, badges including lettering and ovals for black items then had the wheels, mirror caps and door handles painted black. Whilst at it I had the callipers freshened up in black too and gave the hubs and disc lips a refresh in silver ( New discs next year so this will freshen things up behind the glossy black wheels for now). The transformation is fantastic and super chuffed with the results and standard of workmanship/ quality of parts.
New side steps and towing loom to fit when I get a kid free day

Looker...
That is a really lovely looking D4 and I do rather like the adjustments you have done so far...
But then, I would say that, because it is very much similar to the one I picked up just yesterday, my firsat D4...
Having spent a fortune on my last effort (110 MY16), I had not planned to spend a single cent more on this replacement...
Already ordered load space mat and my local indy is pricing up side steps and mudflaps to fit next week...

Yip I had a tidy 110 myself that I bought new back in 2011 and same story the accessories just kept appearing lol......
Next year for the D4 I'll hide some pennies away for the Prospeed rack and ladder I think... That's once the wife has skint me on interior design of course.
You got a pic of the 110?

Another one of my previous Defenders, You'll like this one, Brand new everything full nut and bolt Safari Comp V8 build from the ground up that a very talented mate and I built, Ended up going down the South coast I believe when I sold it.
I left my mirrors white to be different but did the fog light bezels, side grilles with a twist.
Wheels, ladder, sliders & sump guard all raptored, rack next.

Really nice job, looking very good, like the wheels, new ones or refurb your old ones? Interested, thinking of doing mine black, powder coated my Defender ones but wasn’t very happy with them, think spray paintings better. What side steps will you be getting?
Cheers

I paid the extra and went for paint, I have a horrible phobia about powder coat, Seen some nasty failures of wheels in the past that due to the heating process for the powder they have become brittle and failed.... on old BBS splits etc right enough. Can always touch up paint if required too.
I can put you onto my painter if you need a set done or indeed recommend a powder coater if required not far from you.
