When I was in the Army a wide track was towed behind a HGV and had a gross weight of 1.75 tonnes.
A narrow track ( Sankey, Penman etc ) has a gross weight I think around .75 tonne up to a tonne and was towed behind LR's or there equivalent.
The wide track was not allowed to be towed behind non HGV on public roads due to the difference in width !

Seems to be some confusion . Mine was a 3/4 ton and designated widetrack see release papers (Of Sankey Design)
I had an earlier one which was same length but narrower from the 1960's and referred to as Narrow track .
My comment that it was a Mk 3 obviously Wrong, Mk 2 with drum brakes

This is the classification we used as widetrack all the rest where trailer cargo 1 tonne or .75 tonne
And I would definitely not tow one behind my D4 MY18 D5 HSE LUX😎

Here is ours. Definitely a work in progress and not nearly as much blood sweat and tears gone into it as some of the others on here which are quite amazing to be fair but it works and we love it.
