Sankey Conversions - show us your rig!
So I have a wide track sankey heading my way in the near future (all being well).
Got a reasonable budget plus the whole winter to sort it in to a top class touring trailer with RTT, electric, water, light, etc.
Want to fit HSE wheels too so I have a full set of duratecs. The theory being I have six boots on the ground and two spares - should cover most situations pretty much anywhere in the world.
Looking for inspiration and also any pitfalls I can expect or things I need to think about..

I've bought a part completed Sankey/Quadtech3 project.
Other than painting it, puttng a gas cooker in, and some 12v LED Lights and storage, I did get one other job out of the way in swapping the wheels from RRC/D1/DEF PCD to RRS/D3 so I could add 19" HSE wheels fitted with Duratracs.....
A couple of pics below to show you result...

What are the pros and cons of a narrow track vs a wide track anyway.
Has anyone had both?
I know what searches say just curious as to real world experiencesD3 07 SE - still going strong

I would go for a wide track every time. Had a narrow track and it hadn't an antiroll bar and seemed top heavy in comparison. Wide also means the track is nearer a disco one so in ruts behaves better, and has more space. The one I had (a Mk. 3 I think 1987) had the hitch in centre of A bar which meant it lined up better with hitch height on my D3
