Where have you been since 2008 when JLR sold a quarter of the volumes that they do now. Confused They have never dominated any market because they don't have the volume.

Following one of our regular trips to Glenmore I noted that there was not one D5 tow car 😳
Usually during a walk round the site when it’s full I would see all that LR has to offer including many Discoveries of all ages being the family tow car of choice. Same this year but not one D5 on site nor any to be seen in Aviemore or the surrounding area.
Maybe just a coincindence Whistle

Maybe the D5 appeals to people that don't tow. Perhaps they prefer hotels or glamping. Rolling with laughter

I’ve never towed with any of mine.

Except for a dead Defender at a petrol station.

silly me, I misquoted the D5 sales figures, it was 144 units for the month, not 150.

I’ve only seen 3, D5’s on the road since it was released in 2017.

I'm still not seeing them in Bath in the numbers I'd expect. Even at my kids school, there are only three, where the car park was once a homage to LR products, it seems that Volvo and Porsche are taking over. I know of two parents that chopped their D5s in for late D4s due to practicality and reliability issues.

I was thinking post 2016. If a customer wanted Defender / Toyota Land Cruiser capability, customisation and credibility, with near Range Rover standards of comfort and sophistication, that was the niche that the Disco used to dominate Thumbs Up

The tent is a black wolf turbo lite with screen room at the front. Which gives the dogs a little space to move without being tied up.

The dogs are indeed those 3, in that photo the oldest on the right, Mia coming up for 12 in July, Bentley in the middle 5 at the end of June that the little one Aston will be 1 at the end of June. But the little one at 9 months is bigger than the other two:

We’re camping now for a few days, first time camping with the youngest.
